The second sentence of this quote is very difficult to accept. We believe that the opinions of others should not affect our concept of someone. We believe that we should come to know people by ourselves, and only through the goodness of God can the person be changed. But, this is not possible because if we do not get to know the person by ourselves, then how can we change him? If he is only defined by other people’s opinions, then how can God change him? The idea that you cannot completely change someone through your own personal experience does not make sense because if you do not get to know someone yourself, how can you change him?
